Over the next month you may notice firefighters inspecting the hydrants near your home. This annual inspection helps make sure that hydrants are working properly and there is clear access in the event of a fire.
During the inspection each hydrant is opened and closed. This sometimes causes a temporary discoloration of the water in your home. If this occurs, turn on your faucets and run the water for a couple of minutes until it is clear.
If you have any questions about the hydrants near your home, please call the fire district at 662-4734.
