HISTORY
• 1895 – City of Wenatchee Fire Department was established.
• 1942 – Douglas County Fire District 2 (DCFD2) was established.
• 1943 – Chelan County Fire District 1 (CCFD1) was established.
• 2015 – City of Wenatchee Fire Department annexed into CCFD1.
• 2022 – Wenatchee Valley Fire Department (WVFD) was established by merging CCFD1 and DCFD2 into a Regional Fire Authority.

• Our mission is to save lives and protect property.
ACCOUNTABILITY​
• We are accountable to our taxpayers, manage a balanced budget, and pass independent audits by the Washington State Auditor’s Office.
• We are currently seeking accreditation through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.
DEPLOYMENT PLAN
• We currently have seven staffed fire stations and three volunteer fire stations.
• We have approximately 120 members, which includes a combination of full-time and volunteer firefighters.
• We respond to over 6,200 emergency calls per year (17 calls per day).
AREA SERVED
• WVFD serves approximately 81,000 residents over 211 Square miles.
• We serve the communities of Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Rock Island, Malaga, and surrounding areas of Chelan and Douglas Counties.
