Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
Policy of Non-Discrimination
Wenatchee Valley Fire Department has adopted Article III, Policy 22, Compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act regarding "Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability."

In accordance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Wenatchee Valley Fire Department will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities, on the basis of disability, in the services, activities, or physical facilities provided to the public. Wenatchee Valley Fire Department will not directly, through contract or other arrangement discriminate against persons with disabilities in providing aid, benefits, services or employment. Fire Department contractors shall comply with ADA requirements and its regulations.

The Fire Department will generally, upon request, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in services and activities. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service should contact the Fire Department at 731 N. Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee, Washington.

Comments and recommendations to help improve accessibility to Fire Department services and facilities are encouraged from the public and organizations representing persons with disabilities. Complaints that a Fire Department service or activity is not accessible to persons with disabilities may be directed to the Fire Department, 731 N. Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee, Washington. The complete grievance procedure is explained in the attached Fire Department Policy.
